When you login to bank homepage or government related sites (for example, Hometax), They require special system in Korea called digital certificate in Korean, '공인인증서'.
You may have seen this window when you login to homepage.
Digital certificate is certificate issued electronically by bank. and it’s used for banking or login to govermental site like Hometax(national tax service).
When you make business bank account in Korea bank, the bank will issue it or let you know how to downloads this through bank homepage.
1.Way to copy your digital certificate in pfx.file
It’s the way you save your digital certificate in ‘pfx.file‘ to do that, you should go to bank site, and follow the below process.
Below examples are proceed in KB국민은행 (kbstar.com) homepage, but every bank site provide these service
but they don't provide this in english. so please understadn this.
You can attach downloaded pfx.file to yout email
2)Way to copy it to your USB
It’s the way you find your digital certificate in your computer, and copy it directly.
you digital certificate will be here in high possibility.
You should find ‘NPKI’ folder. You can copy this folder and copy to your USB.
The reason tax accountant require your digital certificate if to do tax service on behalf of you to reduce your burden.
Most of foreign company have trouble with Korea tax system because they are usually don’t provide homepage in english.
Tax accountant can login to hometax and see informations about yout company with your digital certificate and it’s also possibile to do social insuracne work.
